Offered to clients who have on-going weekly walks with us. Overnight Sitting is booked on a first come, first serve basis and based on the availability of the staff. For these reasons, we cannot guarantee availability during your desired timeframe.

Overnight Sitting

For when you need to be away, but your pup has to stay!

What does it include?

Overnight Sitting starts on the first evening that you are gone and ends on the morning of the day you return.
A 30 minute evening walk, dinner, night-cap relief walk, sleepover, breakfast, a 30 minute morning walk, and all the love and snuggles they can stand.
Easily administered medications.
Updates and photos through Time To Pet.

**What is not included?**

Additional or longer walks. Your sitter will be at work during the day. Any afternoon walks during the day, 60 minute walks, morning care on the first day, or evening care on the last day will be charged as additional services.
Medications that require a precise time, injections, or given to a dog who poses a bite risk or other more challenging circumstances will be an additional fee.
Laundry or housekeeping beyond cleaning our own mess or messes related to your dog.

Overnight Sitting

Overnight Sitting starting cost - $88 per night (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Weekend Fee - $15 per night (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Puppy Overnight Sitting

Puppy Overnight Sitting provides everything included in our Overnight Sitting service. It also entails more walking and some light manners training and/or management. Any dog under 2 years old is considered a puppy. Dogs that take extra consideration may also be deemed as "puppies" upon evaluation.

Puppy Overnight Sitting starting cost - $110 per night (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Weekend Puppy Fee - $20 per night (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Holidays

Holidays include all major national and religious holidays including Memorial Day and Labor Day. Holiday fee is implemented the day before, day of, and the day after the holiday date.

Holiday Overnight Fee - $25 per night

Additional Animals

Additional dog in same household - $27 per night (second dog must live in the home full time for this price)
Additional Cats or Small Animals - $10 (does not include giving medication)

Day or Evening Hangout

Day/Evening Care in your home - $75 for 4 hour blocks (not a part of Overnight care)

Scheduling/Cancelling Protocols

Available to clients on a first come, first serve basis.
While we will always do our best, being able to fill the dates requested is not guaranteed.
You must email annie@hudsonshoundsnyc.com or use the service request feature in Time To Pet for any Overnight Sitting or Day/Evening Hangout requests.
A minimum of 7 days cancellation notice is required for scheduled Overnight Sitting.
A minimum of 14 days cancellation notice is required for scheduled Holiday Overnight Sitting. Holidays include all major national and religious holidays including Memorial Day and Labor Day and includes the day before, day of, and the day after the holiday date.
A minimum of 48 hours cancellation notice is required for scheduled Day or Evening Hangouts.

Payments and Deposits

50% of the total amount due for Overnight Sitting and Day or Evening Hangout is due upon your reservation to hold the dates.
The remaining balance is due upon completion of the service.
If less than 7 days notice for cancellation of any Overnight Sitting is given, then the 50% deposit of the scheduled service fee is forfeited.
If less than 14 days notice for cancellation of any Holiday Overnight Sitting is given, then the 50% deposit of the scheduled service fee is forfeited. Holidays encompass all major holidays including Memorial Day and Labor Day and includes the day before, day of, and the day after the holiday date.
If less than 48 hours notice for cancellation of Day or Evening Hangout is given, then the 50% deposit of the scheduled service fee applies is forfeited.

Checklist for Overnight Sitting

Any security/webcams must be disclosed and disabled during Overnight Sitting to ensure our staff’s privacy. (Cameras may be turned on when the sitter is out of the home if desired.)
You must inform us of anyone who may have access to your home while you are away. This includes but is not limited to: friends, neighbors, relatives, and other service personnel who may enter your residence for any purpose. Hudson's Hounds NYC is not liable for the acts of third parties, whether known or unknown.
Consider where the sitter sleep and leave clean sheets for them. Most clients have us sleep in a bed or pullout sofa bed.
Are there any behaviors that your sitter may need to know about? Does your dog panic at the doorbell? Do they need to go out to potty immediately upon awakening or do they demand breakfast first? Are they anxious at night?
Are there any protocols or routines your sitter may need to know about? Is there a favorite treat they get after their last walk? Does your dog enjoy being brushed at night while you watch TV?
Is there anything in the home your sitter may need to know about? - Is there a light switch that will cause chaos if turned off? Does the sink handle fall off every time you turn on the cold water if you’re not careful?
